  • Pekan Wayang Indonesia - Festival 1999

Pekan Wayang Indonesia is a regular wayang festival which is held every 5 years since 1964. This event includes visual arts exhibition, performing arts live shows, series of workshops and discussions. After more than 30 years, National Secretariat of Wayang Indonesia would like to have younger audience. Meanwhile, wayang arts does not appeal to younger generations. Gelar was commissioned to design and develop campaign programs to promote Wayang arts and introduce it to a wider public, without leaving its loyal enthusiasts. As a result, about 10,000 people visited the event for 5 days. This big event were supported by Gudang Garam, Texmaco, Semen Gresik, Pupuk Sriwijaya, Credit Suisse, Pura Barutama, RCTI, Indosiar, Hard Rock Group and many more.

  • Festival Wayang Nasional Surabaya - 2005

For the first time, the National Secretariat of Wayang Indonesia with the support of Gelar held a puppetry competition in Indonesia involving professional dalangs in Indonesia. Preliminary rounds were held in each region, while the final was held in Surabaya.

  • World of Wayang Festival 2011

WOW! 2011 or World of Wayang Festival is a multi-activity event that presents a variety of Indonesian puppetry especially wayang arts. Starting from the traditional art form to comics, t-shirts and so on. This festival program is designed to arouse the interest of the younger generation.

  • Indonesia Performing Arts Mart 2004

IPAM (Indonesia Performing Arts Mart) is an annual art forum organized in the form of a market, in which global Art Managers, Art Directors, Performing Arts Center Director, Promoters, Agents, Producers, Performing Artists and Culture Scholars interact in various modes and activities with prominent as well as up-and-coming Indonesian Performing Artists. Discussions, and performances are conducted in a way that allow participants to share experience and more importantly shape the contemporary trends of today's performing arts. Indonesia Performing Arts Mart (IPAM) is a concept that was initiated by The Ministry for Culture & Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia, in response to Indonesia performing arts’ potentials in the global performing arts scene. The Ministry for Culture and Tourism commissioned Gelar to develop the program as the Organizing Committee of IPAM. In the development, Gelar was supported by ANMARO Performing Arts, based in Europe. IPAM 2004 was attended by international presenters and participants from Netherlands, Italy, Belgium, Germany, England, USA, Australia, Cambodia, Singapore, and Japan.

  • Royal Dinner - 2013

"Royal Dinner" is a program initiated by Berita Satu Media Holdings. The idea is to create a dinner that presents the masterpiece of Indonesian flavor through the royal heritage. Gelar developed a concept that featured the unique gastronomy of six kingdoms in the land of Java that is Surakarta Hadiningrat Palace, Sultanate Hadiningrat Palace, Keraton Kasepuhan Cirebon, Kanoman Cirebon Palace, Puri Mangkunegaran and Pakualaman Castle. This royal cuisine was then reinterpreted by Executive Chef The Dharmawangsa.

  • Museum Week 2015: Jalur Rempah

The Jakarta Post through Yayasan Bina Museum Indonesia has created an event called Museum Week since 2013. In 2015, the foundation wanted a thematic program for Museum Week in 2015. Gelar proposed 'Spice Route' whereas it had previously been used as one of Gelar's Cultural Trip theme. 'Jalur Rempah' or 'Spice Route' was then implemented as the theme for Museum Week 2015 held at the National Museum. Gelar was involved in the program and content development as well as initiating various discussion, and community-based activities which gain remarkable enthusiasm from the visitors.

  • Pameran Batik Pantai Utara Jawa - 2016

With the support of Yayasan Bina Museum Indonesia, Gelar gathered with batik artisans community of the north coast of Java (Lasem, Juwana, Kudus, Brebes, Tegal, Cirebon, Indramayu and Jakarta) to carry out an exhibition and knowledge-sharing through workshops and talkshows.

  • Pameran “Kita Austronesia” - 2016

For more than a week, Indonesian National Centre for Archaeological Research entrusted the preparation, planning and implementation of Austronesian exhibition production to Gelar. The exhibition was held in conjunction with International Symposium on Austronesian Diaspora held in Bali. This prestigious event was attended by experts and researchers from all over the world.

  • Festival Sriwijaya 2016

Gelar was commissioned by Department of Tourism and Culture of South Sumatra Province to develop an exhibition program on Sriwijaya. The exhibition was in conjunction with the annual Sriwijaya Festival in Benteng Kuto Besak Palembang area. On developing the exhibition, Gelar collaborated with Jaringan Masyarakat Negeri Rempah in managing its content up to the production. Various discussions and workshops were also held to strengthen the exhibition.

  • Festival Kopi Al Munawar - 2016

Gelar supported the Tourism and Culture Office of South Sumatera Province in developing infographic exhibition informing the history and development of coffee industry in South Sumatra.
